About

About

My style of therapy and skill in which I communicate with my patients sets me apart from other therapists. I want you to know that you are not your diagnosis.  You can find healing and I am here to help you do that. I am known as the Boundary Queen which is a title that was given to me years ago by fellow clinicians.

I believe that therapy should be non-judgmental and person-centered and provide a place with you as an individual or family and I can work together to identify triggers and help you discover what has not worked in the past, while identifying new solutions.

In addition to providing outpatient therapeutic services, I am a counselor with the Life Care Team at my church and a facilitator of the Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts (SYMBIS) assessment and Prepare and Enrich providing premarital classes and counseling.

I like to laugh and have fun and am known to always find something positive in every situation. I enjoy watching others appreciate life and have been known to take the party with me everywhere I go.  I have been told by others that I am trustworthy, empathetic, positive, honest, encouraging and genuine. I love baking and decorating cakes, spending time with my family, singing, dancing and traveling.

I was born in Queens, New York and moved to England at 6 months old where I was raised for the next 4 years then moved to Sacramento, California until age 6 when my family moved back to New York City where I spent the next 20 years. Throughout those years I met my high school sweetheart who was also a childhood friend, and we moved to Raleigh, North Carolina and were married in 2005. We enjoy spending time with our 2 daughters and our dog. I love what I do and have a passion for helping people live life to their fullest potential.
